The following is being offered to the very best UK mushers ..simply to drag the sport into the view of real financial backers and the media..with bigger & better event to follow in years to come .."lets see if UK mushers truly want more than just a fun day on there sleds..last winter we had the best snow fall in our country not one Scottish club ran a snow event/not one is capable in putting snow trails down..now they have an offer to train & race there dogs at a real sleddog event.. personally Iam not holding out for much response..we have a around 4 teams keen..the rest Iam sure will be happy to run around 3 miles on a 2 wheeled rig ..for a bag of dog food. The Scotty Allan Challenge Due to not knowing the snow fall in the area this event will have a min 3 day warning to all teams.. it will run over a weekend *but could be offered during the week..we hope Jan,Feb will again give us enough snow to set up a good trail.. The CSC has awesome snow bound trails ..up there with the very best in Europe,we have an Arctic Cat snow mobile (wide track) and trail groomers/packers on site..and the experience (10yrs) to put in a real top class trails. The race trail itself will have nothing like anything most UK mushers have been on..it will test everybody to there limits. Our snow bound trails are not forest roads or an open field ... This Event is regulated to 16 teams only* first come first registered for event..Teams will be updated on everything linked to event...ie cheap hotel deals, places to stay, event backers,TV & press interviews, will also have its own website.. There could be head on passing on the trail .. There is on the first day (first run) a **timed penalty ie A set time to compete the course with a good built in margin will be in place ..teams falling short of this time on the first day will be disqualified for the final day.
